Cultural foundation and artists' residence Licence 2 Studio Masséna
This project puts work a cultural foundation in the International University Residence of Paris in the 14th district. The program includes two elements: on one hand the cultural foundation in itself, with its spaces of exhibition, administration and restoration. On the other hand six housing for young artists in residence for a few months.
Facing north, for an optimal natural contribution of light, the cultural foundation gets organized according to two volumes. Each proposes showrooms however they articulate to form an outside space of exhibition.
A box heightened in the entrance hall welcomes the whole administration. The cafeteria, at the end of route, is, purposely, in direct link with the surrounding context and the public place.
The six housings are situated in the south-east of the plot and appear in the form of a semi-collective building where workshops, in ground-level, and living spaces, in 1-level, are shared.
